As Senior Brand Designer, I create visual identities that are built to last. I’ve worked with brands of all sizes, often within cultural, artistic and purpose-driven contexts, helping them articulate a clear visual and conceptual story.

My experience ranges from years at branding agencies and freelance work, to co-founding strategic branding & marketing agency Alter brands and art platform Alter house. This taught me how to bring a brand to life, by building it on strong foundations and translating it with care across all brand assets, online and offline. I enjoy working closely together with teams, shaping a brand’s visual direction with authenticity and consistency.

Whether it’s in branding, graphic design and/or creative concepting, I like to use a wide variety of creative disciplines, like painting, illustrating or experimenting with techniques like linocut.

This formulates my approach to graphic design and characterises my work. Big inspirations for me are materials, art, sphere and craftsmanship.

Next to this I’ll like to create paintings, drawings and mixed media. It is my creative outlet; where stillness allows things to take shape.

In daily life you’ll probably see me busy with one of my never-ending projects. Like the door I’m painting over, the sourdough I plan to make it work this time, or on my too old bike I keep on repairing with varying succes (but let’s not talk about that right now).
